The Miu Miu Women’s Tales return for the seventh time to the Venice Days during the Venice Film Festival with a dedicated program that, next to the screening of films, offers meaningful conversations with some of today’s most interesting directors and actresses. The essence of Women’s Tales’ acclaimed Eli full movie project is to invite the most intense and original contemporary directors to explore vanity and femininity in the 21st century. This essence – always curious, critical and exuberant – is at the base of the topics treated and the personalities hosted in Venice during three special days.

On Sunday 2 September 2018, the last episode of Women’s Tales, directed by the Saudi filmmaker Haifaa Al-Mansour, will be shown for the first time. The Wedding Singer’s Daughter is set in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in the ’80s, and tells the story of the enchanting naivety of a young girl in a society often characterized by cruel judgments between women. The fifteenth contribution to the short series Miu Miu, directed by Dakota Fanning, will also be screened. Hello Apartment is a delicate portrait of the emotional evolution of a young woman, told from the perspective of the place where she lives and loves. (more…)
